How to book LPG gas cylinder

Booking an LPG cylinder has evolved from waiting in long queues to a seamless digital experience that takes less than a minute. Depending on your provider—Indane (IOCL), HP Gas (HPCL), or Bharat Gas (BPCL)—you have several convenient methods at your disposal.

1. Using Mobile Apps

This is the most popular method for smartphone users. Each provider has a dedicated app: IndianOil One, HP Pay, or Hello BPCL.

  • How to: Download the app, register with your mobile number and Consumer ID, and tap the 'Book' button. These apps also allow you to track delivery and pay via integrated UPI or cards.

2. WhatsApp Booking

Most providers now offer booking through a simple WhatsApp message. It’s fast and requires no extra app downloads.

  • Indane: Send 'REFILL' to 7588888824.
  • HP Gas: Send 'Book' to 9222201122.
  • Bharat Gas: Send 'Hi' or 'Book' to 1800224344.
Note: Ensure you are messaging from the mobile number registered with your gas agency.

3. IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System)

If you prefer a phone call, IVRS is available 24/7.
  • Dial your provider's specific IVRS number (often found on your last refill receipt).
  • Follow the automated voice prompts. You will usually be asked to press '1' to confirm the booking for your registered address.
  • You will receive an SMS confirmation with a booking reference number.

4. Online Portals and Third-Party Apps

You can book via official websites (like https://www.google.com/search?q=my.ebharatgas.com or mypogo.in) or popular payment apps like Paytm, Google Pay, and PhonePe.
  • Navigate to the 'Gas Provider' or 'LPG' section.
  • Select your provider and enter your registered mobile number or 17-digit LPG ID.
  • Proceed to pay. The booking is automatically forwarded to your distributor.

5. SMS Booking

If you don't have an active internet connection, a simple text message works:
  • Format: REG <Space> DistributorTelCode <Space> ConsumerNumber (for the first time).
  • Subsequent bookings: Simply text LPG to the provider's designated number.

Key Tips for a Smooth Experience

  • LPG ID: Keep your 17-digit LPG ID handy; it is the "passport" for your connection.
  • DAC Code: Upon delivery, you will receive a Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) via SMS. Share this with the delivery person only when the cylinder arrives.
  • Safety First: Always check the seal and the "expiry date" (alpha-numeric code on the stay plate) of the cylinder before accepting it.
